This Privacy Policy explains how DashCorp, Inc., a Florida corporation (“DashCorp”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the DashCorp.ai web application and related services (the “Service”). This Policy is provided for your information and describes our current practices. The Service is currently offered as a private beta available only to users in the United States.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we process about visitors to our public pages, users who sign up for accounts (business owners and tax professionals), and the businesses whose data those users authorize us to access, including through QuickBooks Online.
2. Information You Provide
- Account and profile: name, email address, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and account-type preference (business owner or tax professional).
- Firm and business records: for tax professionals, the firm name and membership information you create; for business owners, the business names and organizational details you enter.
- Support communications: messages you send us and any information you include in them.
3. Technical and Usage Information
When you use the Service we automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate and secure it, such as IP address, browser type, device information, log timestamps, and pages accessed. We use local browser storage (including cookies used by our authentication provider) to keep you signed in and to maintain short-lived state such as the current QuickBooks connection queue. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
4. QuickBooks Online Information
If you authorize DashCorp to connect to a QuickBooks Online company via Intuit’s OAuth flow, we receive an authorization to access limited accounting data on your behalf. We currently retrieve and store:
- the QuickBooks Online company profile (such as company name, legal name, country, and similar profile fields);
- user-initiated standard Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for a fiscal-year-to-date period, on the accounting basis you select;
- normalized summary metrics derived from those reports (income, cost of goods sold, gross profit, expenses, operating income, other income, other expenses, net income, and balance sheet totals for assets, liabilities, and equity);
- auditable report snapshots of the raw report payloads, retained so you and your firm can review historical financial positions; and
- OAuth tokens and connection metadata (including the Intuit realm identifier and environment) needed to maintain the connection. Access and refresh tokens are stored in encrypted form.
DashCorp performs read-only synchronization limited to the items above and does not currently initiate transactions in QuickBooks, access payroll, access bank credentials, or retrieve tax returns. You can disconnect at any time from within the Service or by revoking access in your Intuit account. When you disconnect, we stop retrieving new data from that company.
5. How We Use Information
- to provide, operate, and maintain the Service and its integrations;
- to display your and your authorized clients’ financial information and tax-related informational content;
- to authenticate users, enforce access controls, and protect the security and integrity of the Service;
- to respond to your requests and provide customer support;
- to improve, debug, and develop the Service, using aggregated or minimal information wherever practical; and
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers that process information on our behalf to provide the Service, including Supabase (authentication, database, and backend infrastructure), Lovable (application development and hosting infrastructure), and Google Workspace (business email and support communications). These providers process information under their applicable agreements and privacy terms to support the services described in this Policy.
- Intuit / QuickBooks Online, when you authorize DashCorp to access a QuickBooks Online company. Data flows to and from Intuit under your authorization and Intuit’s own terms and privacy policy.
- Within a firm workspace, information about a business you authorize a tax professional’s firm to access is available to active members of that firm.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, users, or the public, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate protections.
The specific providers we use may change over time as the Service evolves. Named providers do not endorse DashCorp.
7. Retention
We retain account and configuration information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain QuickBooks-derived company profiles, normalized summaries, and auditable report snapshots for as long as the connection or your account remains active, so you can review historical financial positions. You can request deletion as described below. We may retain limited records as required by law or regulation, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, to prevent fraud or abuse, in deidentified or aggregated form, or until routine backups expire on their normal schedule.
8. Security
We use a combination of administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including row-level access controls in our database, encrypted storage of OAuth tokens, and least-privilege service-to-service access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the security of devices used to access the Service.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can update your profile from within the Service, disconnect a QuickBooks connection at any time, and contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you. Depending on the U.S. state in which you reside, you may have additional rights under applicable law, and those rights vary by state. To exercise a right, email privacy@dashcorp.ai from the address associated with your account so we can verify your request.
Disconnecting QuickBooks vs. Deleting Your Account
Disconnecting QuickBooks revokes DashCorp’s authorization to retrieve new data from that QuickBooks Online company but does not by itself delete your DashCorp account or previously synced snapshots. You may disconnect at any time from the Connections area of the Service, or by revoking access from your Intuit account. Deleting your account and stored data is a separate request; see below.
Deletion Requests
To request deletion of your DashCorp account or of QuickBooks-derived data, email privacy@dashcorp.ai from the address associated with your account. We will verify your request and aim to respond within 30 days, subject to legal or regulatory retention requirements, fraud or security needs, our need to enforce agreements or defend legal claims, deidentified or aggregated information, and routine backup expiration.
10. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage only for essential functionality, including authentication session management by our identity provider and short-lived UI state such as the QuickBooks connection queue. We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies.
11. U.S.-Only Service
DashCorp operates in and is currently available only to users in the United States, and information we process is stored and processed in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate.
12. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by updating the “last updated” date above or by notice within the Service.
